Fused Quartz Glass
Fused quartz glass is a single component glass containing only silicon
oxide. It has high glass transition temperature and low thermal expansion.

Typical characteristics

  • High chemical purity, so very good optical transmission
  • High glass transition temperature
  • High maximum working temperature, from 1000°C (1800°F) to
1200°C (2200°F) depending on serving conditions
  • Low thermal expansion coefficient
  • High thermo-shock resistance
  • Excellent Electrical Insulation
